The supporters of Múnich UC booed when Puquillay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Julio Peñafiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match, Simón Ortuño got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alcadio Sobuage was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romildo Tejada in the 20th minute of play forced Puquillay's goalkeeper Carlos Claro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Puquillay defense, Alexandro Fisher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Claro. The Puquillay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Claro should have stopped the shot. Simón Ortuño in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alcadio Sobuage, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 26th minute, Alifonso Fridman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simón Ortuño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Alcadio Sobuage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Visen Rakela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Simón Ortuño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puquillay's supporters rose to their feet, but Simón Ortuño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Puquillay fans cheered their team off the field, for while Múnich UC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
