In the 4th minute, Matias Amuscotegui reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rigoberto Ferrari. The goal made the score 1-0. If Matias Amuscotegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmiro Wittig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horacio Arrué's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Andoni Arrau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Delmiro Wittig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Andoni Arrau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Demesio Dutard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huaquen AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Demesio Dutard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Ferrari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Demesio Dutard was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Demesio Dutard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Ferrari didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Demesio Dutard went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Matias Amuscotegui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Demesio Dutard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Ferrari having to interfere. Horacio Arrué sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Huaquen AFC's zone, Andoni Arrau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Wittig came out of the goal and Andoni Arrau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Horacio Arrué made the kick off in the second half. Delmiro Wittig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Arrué in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Arrué in the 53rd minute of play forced Huaquen AFC's goalkeeper Delmiro Wittig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andoni Arrau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, Andoni Arrau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quillaipe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andoni Arrau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horacio Arrué fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Wittig having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Huaquen AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Arrué came free, but Delmiro Wittig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andoni Arrau might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmiro Wittig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andoni Arrau ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75thth minute of the game Matias Amuscotegui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quillaipe's Rigoberto Ferrari was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute, Andoni Arrau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Quillaipe's Armando Benavente got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quillaipe's Horacio Arrué got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 2-1 became the score in the 92nd minute when Horacio Arrué elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
