Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herminio Zanetta in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eustaquio Painevilu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Herminio Zanetta put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eustaquio Painevilu. Herminio Zanetta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Eustaquio Painevilu made a huge save. After some careless play in the CD Magallanes defense, Herminio Zanetta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustaquio Painevilu. The CD Magallanes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustaquio Painevilu should have stopped the shot. Geofredo Schlubach kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Eustaquio Painevilu made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Pau Urenda sent off a good shot on target. Eustaquio Painevilu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herminio Zanetta's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Salvatore Villaseñor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 29th minute, Herminio Zanetta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. EL DIOS VIVO's Salvatore Villaseñor got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herminio Zanetta to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, CD Magallanes's Genaro Lurquín got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Pau Urenda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eustaquio Painevilu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustaquio Painevilu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 82 minutes into the game, EL DIOS VIVO's Salvatore Villaseñor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eustaquio Painevilu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Eustaquio Painevilu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javiero Tello, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herminio Zanetta in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustaquio Painevilu saved CD Magallanes from getting behind. After having played for 90 minutes, Javiero Tello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL DIOS VIVO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javiero Tello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eustaquio Painevilu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Zanetta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvatore Villaseñor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. EL DIOS VIVO had played much better football throughout.
