Noé Conejeros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlín Biggs in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Baldomiro Vega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Aureliano Fouillioux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chicureo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aureliano Fouillioux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidoro Duble in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel Sierra saved Cortadera from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, Cortadera's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Parodi came free, but Ezequiel Sierra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Duble received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ezequiel Sierra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulgencio Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Sierra having to interfere. Aníbal Parodi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Sierra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Aureliano Fouillioux scored 1-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ezequiel Sierra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlín Biggs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fulgencio Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Sierra having to interfere. Ezequiel Sierra made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Aureliano Fouillioux sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Fulgencio Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chicureo's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulgencio Montes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Sierra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aureliano Fouillioux in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ezequiel Sierra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 60th minute, Fulgencio Montes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aureliano Fouillioux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Sierra having to interfere. When Baldomiro Vega came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Chicureo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Vega couldn't finish the play. Chicureo's Aníbal Parodi got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Aníbal Parodi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Ezequiel Sierra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fulgencio Montes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ezequiel Sierra made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Isidoro Duble sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 89 minutes, Aureliano Fouillioux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chicureo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aureliano Fouillioux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
