The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Juan Raúl Rechivichis short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Delfino Droguett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 23rd minute, Juan Raúl Rechivichi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ignacio Babarovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Miguel Thompson having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Miguel Thompson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 46 minutes, Honorato Rey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grutas AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorato Rey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marino Galilea made a kick off. If Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ubaldo Matildo Otaiza struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Francisco Miguel Thompson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grutas AFC. Francisco Miguel Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Babarovic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Timar AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Albin Blanc hit a great ball. Alexis Blest recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the game, Marino Galilea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Delfino Droguett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
