The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisco José Yanque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Urzúa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Luciano Bozo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luciano Bozo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Candido Camposano made a huge save. Basilio Millán struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Francisco José Yanque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coihueco FC. Juan Estevan Ibarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Juan Estevan Ibarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Estevan Ibarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd match minute, Huudad FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Concha to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Huudad FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Zenón Malaree hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Coihueco FC's Cecilio Cumsille broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Francisco José Yanque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Estevan Ibarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Iván Isassi fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huudad FC's protests and gave Iván Isassi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Huudad FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Iván Isassi hit a great ball. Renato Concha struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Candido Camposano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huudad FC. With a little luck, Coihueco FC's Candido Camposano got control of the ball when Luciano Bozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Estevan Ibarra was the one to do the kick off. Francisco José Yanque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Estevan Ibarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luciano Bozo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Candido Camposano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Coihueco FC's goalkeeper Candido Camposano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Huudad FC's zone, Juan Estevan Ibarra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco José Yanque came out of the goal and Juan Estevan Ibarra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Horacio Urzúa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coihueco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Urzúa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco José Yanque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Basilio Millán took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisco José Yanque. Francisco José Yanque dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After having played for 92 minutes, Javiero Albarran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huudad FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javiero Albarran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Huudad FC's zone, Basilio Millán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco José Yanque came out of the goal and Basilio Millán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Coihueco FC played a much better game than Huudad FC and deserved their victory. The Huudad FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
