The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincente Frey got free with Francisco José Yanque in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Huudad FC's Francisco José Yanque got control of the ball when Vincente Frey tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Vincente Frey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Ulises Lallane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Luciano Bozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huudad FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Bozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alarico Bórquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Javiero Albarran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alarico Bórquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Caraguano booed when Huudad FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Concha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liberto Vigil kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Luciano Bozo might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alarico Bórquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luciano Bozo ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulises Lallane during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Ulises Lallane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Javiero Albarran managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience held their breath when Juan Alfonso Gormaz in the 43rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Alarico Bórquez's left hand side. In the 46th minute, Caraguano's Prudentio Cabañas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francisco José Yanque. Francisco José Yanque yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prudentio Cabañas was the one to do the kick off. Francisco José Yanque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincente Frey, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Prudentio Cabañas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Francisco José Yanque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caraguano's goalkeeper Alarico Bórquez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Huudad FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Juan Alfonso Gormaz hit a great ball. Prudentio Cabañas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Francisco José Yanque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Huudad FC's Javiero Albarran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alarico Bórquez. That made the score 1-1 after 87 minutes of play. Javiero Albarran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huudad FC's Francisco José Yanque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudentio Cabañas in the 94th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
