Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rosalio Belmar started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rosalio Belmar in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Acasuso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rosalio Belmar came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Unión Santa María fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosalio Belmar couldn't finish the play. Joel Acasuso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosalio Belmar in the 5th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Umagata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruesga Bozo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Héctor David Beca in the 11th minute of play forced Umagata's goalkeeper Joel Acasuso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Arcadio Bessoayn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, one of Unión Santa María:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Unión Santa María. Tancredo Vicencio did an outstanding performance 16 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-0 to the right of an irritated Demetrio Neculman in the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Umagata's goal looked a bit too open when Esequiel Olasagutia came free, but Joel Acasuso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esequiel Olasagutia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Joel Acasuso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Umagata's goalkeeper Joel Acasuso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joel Acasuso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esequiel Olasagutia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tamariz Morales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Tamariz Morales made the kick off in the second half. Zebulón De la Cruz hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Tancredo Vicencio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Demetrio Neculman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tamariz Morales in the 62nd minute of the match. After 64 minutes Unión Santa María's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tancredo Vicencio who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Umagata's corner Tancredo Vicencio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Demetrio Neculman quite easily take care of the ball. Demetrio Neculman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tamariz Morales went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Tamariz Morales scored 6-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demetrio Neculman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Esequiel Olasagutia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Unión Santa María booed when Umagata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romualdo Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Acasuso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arcadio Bessoayn in the 83rd minute. Unión Santa María's Demetrio Neculman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tamariz Morales in the 92nd minute of play. Umagata's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
