Mercé Poza made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Arcadio Bessoayn sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xamin Cazorla in the 11th minute of play forced Unión Santa María's goalkeeper Demetrio Neculman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unión Santa María's Demetrio Neculman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Eduardo Peirano in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Luis Eduardo Peirano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Demetrio Neculman. Unión Santa María's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Eduardo Peirano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Xamin Cazorla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Neculman having to interfere. Ignacio Green recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xamin Cazorla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Neculman having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rosalio Belmar to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Xamin Cazorla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Demetrio Neculman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Chacai's Xamin Cazorla got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 60 minutes Unión Santa María's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gervasio Fassnacht who took care of the corner kick. Mercé Poza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esequiel Olasagutia in the 64th minute of play. Mercé Poza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosalio Belmar in the 66th minute of the match. Demetrio Neculman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xamin Cazorla in the 68th minute of play. Xamin Cazorla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Demetrio Neculman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 minutes, Esequiel Olasagutia mouthed his way into the referee's book. Luis Eduardo Peirano scored 1-4 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demetrio Neculman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, Xamin Cazorla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Demetrio Neculman. The goal made the score 1-5. After 93 minutes, Fedele Lucente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacai and the Unión Santa María players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fedele Lucente hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When Héctor David Beca came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Unión Santa María fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Héctor David Beca couldn't finish the play.
