Spectators: 7405 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 148) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rogelio Cares got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Melco's Lino Paniagua dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Bassenge in the 6th minute of play forced Melco's goalkeeper Fortunato Trejo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Devil f.c's goalkeeper Roldán Mardones had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by León Yevenez. When Fernando Bassenge came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Devil f.c fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Bassenge couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Fernando Bassenge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Devil f.c fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Fernando Bassenge came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Devil f.c fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Bassenge couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Melco's goalkeeper Fortunato Trejo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Selmo Plaza's late challenge caught a Devil f.c's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Selmo Plaza helped the player get up and apologised. Selmo Plaza kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Rogelio Cares took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fortunato Trejo. Fortunato Trejo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 45th minute Fernando Bassenge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Trejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melco's Fortunato Trejo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Cares in the 46th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rogelio Cares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fortunato Trejo was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The Melco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Devil f.c were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lino Paniagua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fortunato Trejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Cares, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Fortunato Trejo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Bassenge in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Enrique Mariano Riveros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65thth minute of the game Rogelio Cares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Melco's Fortunato Trejo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Rogelio Cares sped through Melco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fortunato Trejo. Oriol Quero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Paniagua hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Devil f.c's Rogelio Cares in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Melco's goalie prevented a goal. In the 84th minute, Andrés Zorrilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Melco's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Cares came free, but Fortunato Trejo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogelio Cares struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Fortunato Trejo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Devil f.c. Roldán Mardones came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Melco's Lino Paniagua. But to his dismay, Lino Paniagua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. When the match was over Devil f.c could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Melco throughout the match.
