Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Silvio Sánchez kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Rosita got a freekick which was hit by Tito Barnard. Mauro Huechun took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Perochena. Manuel Perochena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 9th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaume Marmolejo to maneuver through the defense. When Román Morandé came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Rosita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Román Morandé couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Mauro Huechun sped through River Plate's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Perochena. 21 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Huechun came free, but Manuel Perochena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosita's Eliseo Maquieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Sánchez in the 23rd minute of play. Mauro Huechun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Manuel Perochena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Román Morandé came free, but Manuel Perochena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Miguel Ángel Blondel came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Ángel Blondel couldn't finish the play. Miguel Ángel Blondel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eliseo Maquieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Miguel Ángel Blondel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliseo Maquieira. Rosita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Ángel Blondel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Huechun to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Mauro Huechun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Perochena came out of the goal and Mauro Huechun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Huechun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Manuel Perochena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Román Morandé sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Sánchez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliseo Maquieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Manuel Perochena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Huechun's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 73rd match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zelipe Penschke to maneuver through the defense. Román Morandé in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Perochena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 77th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zelipe Penschke to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Perochena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Huechun in the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over Rosita could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than River Plate throughout the match.
