When Felipe Soler came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Colorado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Soler couldn't finish the play. Club O´Higgins's Hugo Brito tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Colorado's Leopoldo Jacinto York sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Brito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hugo Brito came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Colorado's Felipe Soler. But to his dismay, Felipe Soler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Colorado's Felipe Soler in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club O´Higgins's goalie prevented a goal. Leopoldo Jacinto York struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Hugo Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colorado. Leopoldo Jacinto York received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hugo Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pacífico Bourchier struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Alifonso Manteola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club O´Higgins. 46 minutes into the match, Felipe Soler notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Club O´Higgins's Hugo Brito. Hugo Brito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Soler was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Club O´Higgins's Danél Veliz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Danél Veliz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club O´Higgins protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Danél Veliz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 53rd minute, one of Club O´Higgins:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club O´Higgins. Hugo Brito went to the wrong direction when Karlos Garcés was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Club O´Higgins getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Baldomiro Mas hit a great ball. If Leopoldo Jacinto York had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Brito made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Leopoldo Jacinto York sent off a good shot on target. When Juan Jose Nancupel came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Colorado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Jose Nancupel couldn't finish the play. Leopoldo Jacinto York could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Hugo Brito made a huge save. Juan Jose Nancupel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopoldo Jacinto York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Soler in the 92nd minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Christian Noguera had to leave the field with a concussion. Baldomiro Mas got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 94 played minutes Club O´Higgins got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Mas.
