Héctor Maier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Guillermo Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28thth minute of the game Guillermo Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farellones's Héctor Maier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Urmeneta scored 0-5 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Héctor Maier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guillermo Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Héctor Maier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half EL VIGIA FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilario Quiroz was the one to do the kick off. Héctor Maier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Berganza in the 51st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baudelio Ardizzoni during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, EL VIGIA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baudelio Ardizzoni to maneuver through the defense. Héctor Maier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillermo Berganza went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in EL VIGIA FC's zone, Robert Irizar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Wormald came out of the goal and Robert Irizar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernán Negrete took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Héctor Maier. Héctor Maier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Héctor Maier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillermo Berganza's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as EL VIGIA FC's Hernán Negrete slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Héctor Maier. That made the score 0-8 after 78 minutes of play. A collision led to Farellones getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Benicio Lanz hit a great ball. Guillermo Berganza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Héctor Maier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Héctor Maier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Berganza in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Farellones's zone, Vincente Talma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Héctor Maier came out of the goal and Vincente Talma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Farellones's Héctor Maier got control of the ball when Guillermo Berganza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Héctor Maier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vincente Talma showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 88 minute of play. Héctor Maier made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Guillermo Berganza sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute, Baudelio Ardizzoni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Héctor Maier. The goal made the score 0-10. The Farellones fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. EL VIGIA FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
