Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Cardall's Rafael Bustos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caupolican's goalkeeper Fulco Cuadrado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Javier Ocon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Hollstein having to interfere. If Javier Ocon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caupolican's Fulco Cuadrado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Caupolican from getting a goal against them. If Cirilo Bolivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilio Aragón in the 19th minute of play forced Cardall's goalkeeper Santiago Hollstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cardall's Alonso Echavarría got a free kick in the 20th minute. Emiliano Oroeta hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Cardall's Rafael Bustos in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caupolican's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Cardall defense, Javier Ocon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santiago Hollstein. The Cardall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Hollstein should have stopped the shot. Javier Ocon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Javier Ocon to strike the kick off in the second half. Teofilio Aragón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Santiago Hollstein made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, Caupolican's goal looked a bit too open when Darien Yanque came free, but Fulco Cuadrado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 played minutes Caupolican got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Oroeta. Rafael Bustos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fulco Cuadrado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cirilo Bolivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fulco Cuadrado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Bolivar in the 96th minute of play. The Caupolican supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Caupolican would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
