Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Belmiro Cortés made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 3 minutes, Timeteo Arciego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartajena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timeteo Arciego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Laquena's Pío Daire got control of the ball when Guntademaro Jaramillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute, one of Laquena:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Laquena. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Cartajena. Elodio Phillips stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pío Daire. 1-0. Juan Luis Dalmazzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Pío Daire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belmiro Cortés struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Salomone Novajas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laquena. 29 minutes into the match, Laquena's Belmiro Cortés sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salomone Novajas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Laquena's Juan Raúl Nordon got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute of the match, Guntademaro Jaramillo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pío Daire was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Guntademaro Jaramillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pío Daire having to make a save. Juan Luis Dalmazzo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pío Daire came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan Luis Dalmazzo slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 41st minute. If Juan Luis Dalmazzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Guntademaro Jaramillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Belmiro Cortés received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Salomone Novajas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Juan Luis Dalmazzo made the kick off in the second half. Pío Daire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Luis Dalmazzo's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Juan Luis Dalmazzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Pío Daire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Luis Dalmazzo in the 63rd minute of play forced Laquena's goalkeeper Pío Daire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guntademaro Jaramillo in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pío Daire saved Laquena from getting behind. Leonides Farreras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes, Juan Luis Dalmazzo made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Laquena's Pío Daire tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute Guntademaro Jaramillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pío Daire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th match minute, Cartajena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Mujica to maneuver through the defense.
