Spectators: 7437 (Terracing: 5579, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Justo Carmona started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Héctor David Caticura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Irizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Polcura's Xamín Horta got a free kick in the 7th minute. Raúlo Madrigal struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Matias Irizar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UC United. 11 minutes into the match, Héctor David Caticura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matias Irizar. Polcura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Héctor David Caticura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Fabricio Jodar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Irizar having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Polcura got a freekick which was hit by Justo Carmona. In the 20th minute of the match Soriano Peña sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matias Irizar skillfully saved the ball. After 26 minutes of play, UC United's Fabricio Jodar made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matias Irizar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matias Irizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Jodar in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Justo Carmona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patric Ålberg. Justo Carmona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Matias Irizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor David Caticura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Irizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Jodar, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute Fabricio Jodar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Irizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Polcura's Matias Irizar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor David Caticura in the 46th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Héctor David Caticura in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matias Irizar saved Polcura from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabricio Jodar to make the kick off. Héctor David Caticura was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. UC United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Matias Irizar was a little too slow when Héctor David Caticura got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 1-4. 60 minutes into the game, Ceferino Sierralta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polcura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UC United the free kick. Polcura's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Héctor David Caticura scored to the left of an out of position Matias Irizar, making the score, 1-5. In the 66th minute Héctor David Caticura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Irizar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Irizar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Héctor David Caticura's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Fabricio Jodars short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Matias Irizar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Héctor David Caticura in the 72nd minute of play forced Polcura's goalkeeper Matias Irizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabricio Jodar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Matias Irizar firmly grabbed it by the left post. Fabricio Jodar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matias Irizar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Jodar in the 86th minute. Soriano Peña hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. UC United's Héctor David Caticura got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
