Adolfo Piñera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobías Callejas having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Hualcuna's goal looked a bit too open when Savier Mosquera came free, but Tobías Callejas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aureo Iturgoyen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, Hualcuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureo Iturgoyen to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Roldán Achondo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rexino Picarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Tobías Callejas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Savier Mosquera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 42 minute of play.

Rexino Picarte had in the 85thth minute some difficulties stopping Esteban José Mann's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Emilio Felipe Martínez de Aldunate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Tobías Callejas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobías Callejas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Udalaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobías Callejas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Plácido Torrijos, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
