Leoncio Massú's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Echaiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Modesto Helo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Modesto Helo in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Echaiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Leoncio Massú had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tanausu Celedón made an important save on a dangerous shot by Archibaldo Brieba in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Modesto Helo made a kick off. Tanausu Celedón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xamín Oyarce in the 52nd minute of the match. Modesto Helo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Fernando Echaiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Loncopangue AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Echaiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leoncio Massú. Loncopangue AFC's Fernando Echaiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Loncopangue AFC from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes into the game, David Israel Loayza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laucheros Profesionales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Loncopangue AFC the free kick. A collision led to Laucheros Profesionales getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. David Israel Loayza hit a great ball. Laucheros Profesionales's Tanausu Celedón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archibaldo Brieba in the 73rd minute of play. Modesto Helo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Echaiz having to make a save. In the 78th minute, Leoncio Massú made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Echaiz. Loncopangue AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 85 minutes, Modesto Helo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 87th play minute Leoncio Massú came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fernando Echaiz. 0-2. Fulco Rossel hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Laucheros Profesionales had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
