Yoel Potts showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 28 minutes into the match, Arachildu's goal looked a bit too open when Yoel Potts came free, but Lois Urrejola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 played minutes Arachildu got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Paris. Silvestre Garretón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Lois Urrejola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yoel Potts, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The long shot by Lucio Jose María Marti in the 91st minute really tested Alcadio Lemos's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Universidad de chile's Alcadio Lemos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Plácido Raglianti in the 95th minute of play. After 97 played minutes, Arachildu's Marino Gómez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alcadio Lemos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arachildu reached it. Universidad de chile walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
