The supporters of Santiago Unido F.C booed when AC Pelotillehue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermelando Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Charme stood somewhat misplaced when Gilberto Maccioni came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 27 minute. Remigio Abalos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damario L´Hotelier went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Hermelando Bueno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Abalos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Ricard Galleguillos hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, AC Pelotillehue's Ismael Alamos tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martino Lemonde made a kick off. Domenico Pascal hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Damario L´Hotelier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Remigio Abalos made a huge save. The supporters of AC Pelotillehue booed when Santiago Unido F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigio Abalos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 minutes, Nauzet Oxman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santiago Unido F.C and the AC Pelotillehue players grew even worse after the yellow card. Demesio Hesler hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute AC Pelotillehue were awarded a corner. Ismael Alamos went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Ismael Alamos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Remigio Abalos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gilberto Maccioni charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Maccioni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Santiago Unido F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Maccioni. Martino Lemonde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damario L´Hotelier got free with Remigio Abalos in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the game, one of Santiago Unido F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Remigio Abalos, was totally fooled by AC Pelotillehue's Ismael Alamos, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damario L´Hotelier got free with Remigio Abalos in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, AC Pelotillehue's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Maccioni came free, but Fabio Charme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Alberto Riquelme might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Charme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Alberto Riquelme ran back to his position shaking his head. The AC Pelotillehue supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AC Pelotillehue would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
