Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) ariel's Carlos Hernán Alen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelino Menichetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrico Galmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Francisco Javier Mac Rostie could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Manuelo Larrañaga however easily saved by the left post. Julio Fantini lost his temper 6 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 6 played minutes ariel got a freekick which was hit by Julio Fantini. Alfonso Balart scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelino Menichetti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Javier Mac Rostie got free with Manuelo Larrañaga in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Francisco Javier Mac Rostie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angelino Menichetti came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Renaca FC's Stefano Patiño. But to his dismay, Stefano Patiño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 26th match minute, Renaca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóbal Bezanilla to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes, Francisco Javier Mac Rostie made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Renaca FC's Manuelo Larrañaga tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Manuelo Larrañaga made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Francisco Javier Mac Rostie sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Stefano Patiño notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of ariel's Angelino Menichetti. Angelino Menichetti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 41 minutes, Alfonso Balart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Renaca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Balart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute Stefano Patiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Menichetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ariel getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Carlos Hernán Alen hit a great ball. Angelino Menichetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóbal Bezanilla in the 48th minute of play.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Renaca FC's goalkeeper Manuelo Larrañaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ariel's Angelino Menichetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Balart in the 58th minute of play. Francisco Javier Mac Rostie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Conrado Goeppet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Francisco Javier Mac Rostie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuelo Larrañaga was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Rodrigo Oñederra might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuelo Larrañaga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Oñederra ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the game, Francisco Javier Mac Rostie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Manuelo Larrañaga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Renaca FC's Manuelo Larrañaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Javier Mac Rostie in the 75th minute of play. Cristóbal Bezanilla charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóbal Bezanilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Francisco Javier Mac Rostie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuelo Larrañaga was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Henrico Galmes hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Conrado Goeppet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuelo Larrañaga having to interfere. The supporters of ariel booed when Renaca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xamín Parker didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Renaca FC's zone, Francisco Javier Mac Rostie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuelo Larrañaga came out of the goal and Francisco Javier Mac Rostie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the match, ariel's goalkeeper Angelino Menichetti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristóbal Bezanilla. Alfonso Balart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renaca FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
