Renaca FC's Manuelo Larrañaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xosé Antipa in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Antonio Patrickson in the 38th minute of play forced Renaca FC's goalkeeper Manuelo Larrañaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóbal Bezanilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Martín Lambert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Balart in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Tomás Raffo's late challenge caught a Renaca FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Antonio Pimienta during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes Renaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Antonio Pimienta. 69 minutes into the match, Renaca FC's goalkeeper Manuelo Larrañaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Antonio Patrickson. Manuelo Larrañaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xosé Antipa in the 70th minute of the match. Manuelo Larrañaga made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Francisco Antonio Patrickson sent off a good shot on target. Francisco Antonio Patricksons short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Manuelo Larrañaga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Francisco Antonio Patrickson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Manuelo Larrañaga made a huge save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
