The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hueyusca FC's Ysmael Amengual proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Hueyusca FC from getting a goal against them. Francisco Ignacio Cabañas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romano Palacios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Carvajal in the 13th minute of the match. Romano Lecuna hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Zebulón Rabe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Chanqueahue FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Edilberto Seraín hit a great ball. Chanqueahue FC's Romano Palacios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Ignacio Cabañas in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Hueyusca FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zebulón Rabe fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fidel Carvajal scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romano Palacios, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juan Luis Garrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ysmael Amengual having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zebulón Rabe got free with Ysmael Amengual in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ysmael Amengual made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Zebulón Rabe sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Chanqueahue FC's Ysmael Amengual threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juan Luis Garrido, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Juan Luis Garrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ysmael Amengual tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Hueyusca FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Luis Garrido was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zebulón Rabe in the 54th minute of play forced Hueyusca FC's goalkeeper Ysmael Amengual to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Francisco Ignacio Cabañas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romano Palacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Hueyusca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zebulón Rabe came free, but Ysmael Amengual reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quentín La Motte's late challenge caught a Chanqueahue FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quentín La Motte helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chanqueahue FC booed when Hueyusca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ysmael Amengual came out of the goal and Zebulón Rabe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaume Scheuermann hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Zebulón Rabe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ysmael Amengual saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hueyusca FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
