Josué Cacho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Romano Palacios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Juan Luis Garrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zebulón Rabe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ricardo Granados tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Josué Cacho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romano Palacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Chanqueahue FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Edilberto Seraín hit a great ball. Romano Palacios came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lonzana FC's Aureliano Liberona. But to his dismay, Aureliano Liberona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Chanqueahue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Almazan came free, but Romano Palacios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romano Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Liberona in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Chanqueahue FC's zone, Aureliano Liberona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romano Palacios came out of the goal and Aureliano Liberona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Lonzana FC booed when Chanqueahue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Javier Julio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josué Cacho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romano Palacios having to interfere. If Aureliano Liberona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josué Cacho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Chanqueahue FC's goalkeeper Romano Palacios had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aureliano Liberona. Ricardo Granados made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zebulón Rabe in the 65th minute of play. After 67 played minutes Lonzana FC got a freekick which was hit by Amado Almazan. 68 minutes into the match, Chanqueahue FC's Laureano Escerza broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Chanqueahue FC booed when Lonzana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Liberona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Luis Garrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Romano Palacios managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Lonzana FC's Josué Cacho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lonzana FC's Aureliano Liberona got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romano Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Cacho in the 91st minute of play. A collision led to Chanqueahue FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Edilberto Seraín hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Zebulón Rabe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Granados saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Zebulón Rabe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chanqueahue FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
