After 3 played minutes Deportes Altué United got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Berecedo. In the 4th minute, Arnoldo Apel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Deportes Altué United's Dante Carter didn't even have to move. If Zenón Haviland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Marico AFC's Filomeno Quijada got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute José Marcelo Bacigalupo managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Guido Barcena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Hermenegildo Zubelzu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Hermenegildo Zubelzu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Carter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Deportes Altué United's Dante Carter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elizalde Sadin in the 21st minute of play. Zenón Haviland's late challenge caught a Marico AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zenón Haviland helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Deportes Altué United's Zenón Haviland got a free kick in the 26th minute. Guido Barcena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abraham Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Dante Carter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermenegildo Zubelzu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Guido Barcena came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Deportes Altué United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Barcena couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Guido Barcena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportes Altué United's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Barcena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abraham Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Deportes Altué United defense, Elizalde Sadin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Carter. The Deportes Altué United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Carter should have stopped the shot. Elizalde Sadin took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Carter. Dante Carter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Dante Carter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Angel Cuello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Marcelo Bacigalupo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Amuscotegui in the 69th minute of play forced Deportes Altué United's goalkeeper Dante Carter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desiderio Amuscotegui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes in the game, Hermenegildo Zubelzu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dante Carter having to interfere. After 77 minutes, José Marcelo Bacigalupo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportes Altué United and the Marico AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Marico AFC booed when Deportes Altué United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Marcelo Bacigalupo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Odol Bakovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Odol Bakovic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Deportes Altué United's Guido Barcena in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
