In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportes Altué United's goalkeeper Dante Carter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 5th minute Valiente Turres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Carter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Carter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valiente Turres in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Guido Barcena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportes Altué United's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Barcena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liberto Bocanegra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 played minutes Deportes Altué United got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Berecedo. Zenón Haviland charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zenón Haviland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Irupata AFC booed when Deportes Altué United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenón Haviland didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 played minutes Deportes Altué United got a freekick which was hit by Zenón Haviland. Liberto Bocanegra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Barcena in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Odol Bakovic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportes Altué United's supporters rose to their feet, but Odol Bakovic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liberto Bocanegra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Guido Barcena came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Deportes Altué United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Barcena couldn't finish the play. After having played for 27 minutes, Wilfredo Berecedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportes Altué United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Berecedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Zenón Haviland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Guido Barcena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportes Altué United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Barcena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If José Marcelo Bacigalupo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A hard shot 35 in the game by Guido Barcena from a close distance when the talented Liberto Bocanegra managed to make a qualified save. Irupata AFC's players were relieved. Guido Barcena who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Liberto Bocanegra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Irupata AFC's zone, Odol Bakovic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liberto Bocanegra came out of the goal and Odol Bakovic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Irupata AFC booed when Deportes Altué United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Marcelo Bacigalupo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Odol Bakovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Liberto Bocanegra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Tornero to make the kick off. When Guido Barcena came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Deportes Altué United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Barcena couldn't finish the play. Valiente Turres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Dante Carter made a huge save. Dante Carter was a little too slow when Diego Tornero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Barcena in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Liberto Bocanegra saved Irupata AFC from getting behind. Dante Carter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Tornero in the 78th minute of play. Silvino Arellano made in the 81st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Manolo Berendique immediately put the ball in play. In the 83rd minute Diego Tornero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Carter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucero Valdivia kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. When José Marcelo Bacigalupo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Deportes Altué United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Marcelo Bacigalupo couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute, Guido Barcena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Barcena struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Liberto Bocanegra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportes Altué United.
