Amado Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Yalamanta's goalkeeper Baldomiro Vos de Vos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lauro Mosca. The supporters of Motumbo Fc booed when Yalamanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theobald Barrales didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Theobald Barrales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Lisboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amado Lisboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theobald Barrales, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Xulián Anriquez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amado Lisboa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 34 played minutes Motumbo Fc got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Simpson. With 35 minutes on the clock, Rosalio Fabres commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Motumbo Fc:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yalamanta:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Yalamanta's zone, Dalmacio Armaza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomiro Vos de Vos came out of the goal and Dalmacio Armaza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Motumbo Fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yalamanta were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brian Andrews to make the kick off. Javiero Zercalde got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-2 in the right cross in the 56th match minute before Amado Lisboa had time to react. If Javiero Zercalde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amado Lisboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javiero Zercalde, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A collision led to Yalamanta getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Abdul Unquera hit a great ball. Amado Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javiero Zercalde in the 72nd minute of play. When Hernán Amunátegui came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Motumbo Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernán Amunátegui couldn't finish the play. Amado Lisboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theobald Barrales in the 83rd minute. Francisco Ignacio Necochea hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Teodoro Iturrieta in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Motumbo Fc's Hernán Amunátegui. After a defensive mix-up in Yalamanta's zone, Brian Andrews stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomiro Vos de Vos came out of the goal and Brian Andrews tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
