Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gaston Cruchaga kicked off to start the match. After 5 minutes Renaca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damario Mahotiere who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Arturo Fernández Vial booed when Renaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Celada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Regino Zavaleta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damario Mahotiere in the 6th minute of the match. Urtsín Maquieira hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Bonifacio Walton scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Regino Zavaleta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Regino Zavaleta made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Bonifacio Walton sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute Robustiano Puccio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Arduengo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xavier Angel Puelles charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavier Angel Puelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Renaca got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Angel Puelles. Damario Mahotiere's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Regino Zavaleta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. The Arturo Fernández Vial fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Arturo Fernández Vial's Gaston Cruchaga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Renaca's goalkeeper Regino Zavaleta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Cruchaga in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Regino Zavaleta saved Renaca from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Renaca's Xavier Angel Puelles got a free kick in the 35th minute. Regino Zavaleta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Cruchaga's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Celada in the 39th minute of play forced Arturo Fernández Vial's goalkeeper Robert Arduengo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Renaca's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Cruchaga came free, but Regino Zavaleta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robustiano Puccio to make the kick off. Renaca's Regino Zavaleta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Cruchaga in the 55th minute of play. If Bonifacio Walton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Renaca booed when Arturo Fernández Vial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristeo Fevre didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th match minute, Arturo Fernández Vial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Andolini to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Renaca's Markus Angellotti tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Arturo Fernández Vial:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Renaca:s goal. Regino Zavaleta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Cruchaga in the 75th minute of play. Bonifacio Walton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robustiano Puccio in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Arduengo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Bonifacio Walton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renaca's Regino Zavaleta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Cruchaga in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Renaca's zone, Gaston Cruchaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Regino Zavaleta came out of the goal and Gaston Cruchaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Walton in the 89th minute of play forced Renaca's goalkeeper Regino Zavaleta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bonifacio Walton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arturo Fernández Vial's Bonifacio Walton in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Renaca's goalie prevented a goal. Xavier Angel Puelles hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Arturo Fernández Vial's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
