In the 49th minute of the match SIMANCA F.C. got a corner. Mechaico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. José Julio Bombal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over SIMANCA F.C.'s much stronger midfield.
