Spectators: 6140 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 40) Ahoni AFC's Niguel Arnault started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teofilio Garzón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Simón Letelier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahoni AFC's Niguel Arnault got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Papayeros's Mario Domínguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niguel Arnault in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niguel Arnault in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Domínguez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Txomin Quintana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Txomin Quintana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Podador Livingstone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Faustino Zegers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofilio Garzón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Txomin Quintanas short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Faustino Zegers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jaume Demanet hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Emilio Felipe Ariza was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Niguel Arnault recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Papayeros's Teofilio Garzón dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 57 minutes, Gerardo Rogers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ahoni AFC and the Papayeros players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Papayeros booed when Ahoni AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ahoni AFC's zone, Txomin Quintana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustino Zegers came out of the goal and Txomin Quintana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niguel Arnault in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Domínguez saved Papayeros from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Simón Letelier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahoni AFC's Faustino Zegers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilio Garzón in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niguel Arnault in the 72nd minute of play forced Papayeros's goalkeeper Mario Domínguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes, Adelio Chalco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Papayeros and the Ahoni AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Papayeros got a freekick which was hit by Adelio Chalco. Mario Domínguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niguel Arnault, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Ruesga Ibarbia charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruesga Ibarbia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Papayeros getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ruesga Ibarbia hit a great ball. Simón Letelier who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Mario Domínguez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 89 minutes, Ruesga Ibarbia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Papayeros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruesga Ibarbia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Txomin Quintana in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustino Zegers saved Ahoni AFC from getting behind. Pierre Zepeda charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre Zepeda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pierre Zepeda hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Niguel Arnault fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mario Domínguez, passed just outside the right post. Mario Domínguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niguel Arnault, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
