In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matau's goalkeeper Demesio Canal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matau's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jaime Basualdo 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-4. 2-5 became the score in the 80th minute when Jaime Basualdo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Guancamala's Jaime Basualdo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. In the 89th minute, Leopoldo Ayarza made a precise shot to the right of Fabián Nancupel. Guancamala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Victorio Marrodan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guancamala's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorio Marrodan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demesio Canal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaime Basualdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demesio Canal having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Guancamala left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Matau.
