The referee ignored Red Bull Cerro Barón's protests and gave Mannuel Elorreaga a yellow card for diving instead. Gustavo Adriazola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Albert, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Mauro Bunster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zebulón Sarmiento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
