Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Serafín Marchant took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Serafín Marchant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xalvador Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 played minutes Llanquen FC got a freekick which was hit by Serafín Marchant. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Quintín Carrillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barranquilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Quintín Carrillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximiliano Vásquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oriol Page hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Barranquilla's attentive Frances Joglar managed to snatch the ball when Celedonio Amesti made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. Celedonio Amesti made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Barranquilla's Ceandro Pasten. In the 19thth minute of the game Quintín Carrillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Llanquen FC's Maximiliano Vásquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute, Frances Joglar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alipio Macho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xalvador Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Llanquen FC's Celedonio Amesti shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Xalvador Barros but with some difficulty. Xalvador Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salbatore Sotta in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Ceandro Pasten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, the referee gave Llanquen FC a penalty. Alipio Macho looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Xalvador Barros. Barranquilla's attentive Tamariz Teran managed to snatch the ball when Celedonio Amesti made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. Bautista Rivadeneira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quintín Carrillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Maximiliano Vásquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute Barranquilla were awarded a corner. Quintín Carrillo went to the cornerflag to take it. After 65 played minutes, Llanquen FC's Celedonio Amesti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xalvador Barros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Llanquen FC reached it. Quintín Carrillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Maximiliano Vásquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Quintín Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Serafín Marchant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Barranquilla getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Frances Joglar hit a great ball. Serafín Marchant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalvador Barros having to interfere. Quintín Carrillo in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Maximiliano Vásquez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Ceandro Pasten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Llanquen FC's zone, Quintín Carrillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Vásquez came out of the goal and Quintín Carrillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute of the match Celedonio Amesti sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xalvador Barros skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salbatore Sotta in the 96th minute of play forced Barranquilla's goalkeeper Xalvador Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quintín Carrillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximiliano Vásquez having to make a save. Barranquilla's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
