Chipallanta FC were furious when Bertrán Catrilao was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chipallanta FC! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miren Duarte in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristofer Quilodrán prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Chipallanta FC's Aristides Binder got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ruperto Villamil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Bruno Gronows shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliverio Marshall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliverio Marshall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Gronows, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Bruno Gronows made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Bruno Gronows shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliverio Marshall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruperto Villamil in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chipallanta FC's zone, Bruno Gronows stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliverio Marshall came out of the goal and Bruno Gronows tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ramón Mena's late challenge caught a Chipallanta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramón Mena helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Malloco! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Chipallanta FC. Aristides Binder stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cristofer Quilodrán. 1-1. If Gerardo Walton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Gronows sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruperto Villamil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oliverio Marshall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. When Orlín Zamorano fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malloco's protests and gave Orlín Zamorano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, one of Malloco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malloco. When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, Chipallanta FC's Aristides Binder got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cristofer Quilodrán. Oliverio Marshall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Villamil in the 91st minute of play. Chipallanta FC's Oliverio Marshall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Villamil in the 93rd minute of play. Oliverio Marshall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Gronows, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
