After 23 played minutes, Molina's Juan Raúl Lerga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roy Matas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Molina reached it. After a rather tough play, Molina's Francisco Antonio Arcaya got a free kick in the 26th minute. Lauro Vigil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Hugo Cangas in the 28th minute of play. If Victor Hugo Cangas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd match minute, Molina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Bustos to maneuver through the defense. When Vincente Poza came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Laureles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincente Poza couldn't finish the play. Roy Matas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niguel Lezaeta's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute of the match, Victor Hugo Cangas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lauro Vigil saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lauro Vigil made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Vincente Poza sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the game, Joaquin Cotapos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Molina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laureles the free kick. Joaquin Cotapos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The referee showed Abdul Depsch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 52 minutes into the game, one of Laureles:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Vincente Poza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laureles's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincente Poza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lauro Vigil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the game, Laureles's Victor Hugo Cangas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lauro Vigil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Hugo Cangas in the 75th minute of play forced Molina's goalkeeper Lauro Vigil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Laureles's Roy Matas got control of the ball when Niguel Lezaeta tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82ndth minute of the game Casimír Schorr who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Molina's Lauro Vigil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lauro Vigil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Hugo Cangas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eber Ayala's late challenge caught a Molina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eber Ayala helped the player get up and apologised. Eber Ayala kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Victor Hugo Cangas struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Lauro Vigil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laureles. Lauro Vigil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vincente Poza went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Laureles booed when Molina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ervigio Cancino didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Laureles were the better team. Laureles's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
