Spectators: 7449 (Terracing: 5588, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) Jose Maria Airola started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Menéndez Dunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Rosas in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Jose Maria Airola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salinas AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Lonco FC's Natanael Villamil got a free kick in the 11th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Salinas AFC's Simón Amengual sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filiberto Viel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Menéndez Dunn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Rosas, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 31st minute, Cristiano Gómez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odilón Duarte in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiberto Viel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nahuel Amuscotegui's shot from long distance in the 38th minute was not bad at all, but Salinas AFC's Menéndez Dunn knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After 39 played minutes Salinas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Odilón Duarte. If Octavio Rosas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simón Amengual kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lonco FC's Natanael Villamil got a free kick in the 49th minute. Cipriano Grau, 50 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

Odilón Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Filiberto Viel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Odilón Duartes short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Filiberto Viel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Natanael Villamil hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Salinas AFC's Cipriano Grau shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Filiberto Viel but with some difficulty. Simón Amengual hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Jose Maria Airola came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Salinas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Maria Airola couldn't finish the play. Odilón Duarte might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filiberto Viel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Odilón Duarte ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 90 minutes, Jose Maria Airola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinas AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Maria Airola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Lonco FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Salinas AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
