With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romano Argo in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pío Quintanilla saved Cambalache FC from getting behind. Vicens Bascuñán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Mutis in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Filiberto Oliva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cambalache FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Oliva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Club de Deportes Temuco's goalkeeper Vicens Bascuñán had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filiberto Oliva. In the 31st minute, Cambalache FC's Octavio Marco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vicens Bascuñán. Vicens Bascuñán yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Tanausu Joglar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vicens Bascuñán. That made the score 3-1 in the 35 minute of play. Filiberto Oliva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vicens Bascuñán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elmer Lott in the 45th minute of play. With a little luck, Club de Deportes Temuco's Vicens Bascuñán got control of the ball when Filiberto Oliva tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The coaching staff of Cambalache FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hernán Gurruchaga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Hernán Gurruchaga hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Filiberto Oliva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Filiberto Oliva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Vicens Bascuñán was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Filiberto Oliva put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vicens Bascuñán. Filiberto Oliva charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filiberto Oliva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, Filiberto Oliva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match, Paulo Renato Messias tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pío Quintanilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 91 minutes into the match, Club de Deportes Temuco's goal looked a bit too open when Tanausu Joglar came free, but Vicens Bascuñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Tanausu Joglar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Vicens Bascuñán was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Cambalache FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
