The referee ignored El Eterno F.C.'s protests and gave Alvino Parker a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, El Eterno F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvino Parker to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Vladimiro Turrieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calvino Freudenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Donoso in the 10th minute of play forced El Eterno F.C.'s goalkeeper Calvino Freudenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Eterno F.C.'s Carlos Gustavo Morales got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monteria AFC's goalkeeper Romeo Huaiquiman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Uriel Celada kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the match Vladimiro Turrieta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Calvino Freudenburg skillfully saved the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Monteria AFC's Jacob Donoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calvino Freudenburg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to El Eterno F.C. getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Uriel Celada hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, Jacob Donoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monteria AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Eterno F.C. the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Jacob Donoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes, Vasco Parro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monteria AFC and the El Eterno F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. 43 minutes into the match, Jacob Donoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Calvino Freudenburg. El Eterno F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacob Donoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Gustavo Morales was the one to do the kick off. Natanael Milan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jacob Donoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Calvino Freudenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Donoso in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heliodoro Ibarbia got free with Calvino Freudenburg in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacob Donoso in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calvino Freudenburg saved El Eterno F.C. from getting behind. After 65 played minutes Monteria AFC got a freekick which was hit by Heliodoro Ibarbia. Vasco Parro hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Monteria AFC's Romeo Huaiquiman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Gustavo Morales in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Heliodoro Ibarbia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Monteria AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
