The referee showed Mario Jesus Mandiola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mario Jesus Mandiola hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Alonso Arbildo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Theobald Anabalon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vicuna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theobald Anabalon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camilo Gana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. When Theobald Anabalon came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Vicuna FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theobald Anabalon couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético Sendero fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, Vicuna FC's Robustiano Rogers got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Abner Fantinatti. Alonso Arbildo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rosalio Guardas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. If Elodio Mantilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Atlético Sendero's Camilo Gana in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vicuna FC's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alonso Arbildo to make the kick off. Atlético Sendero's Abner Fantinatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonso Arbildo in the 57th minute of play. After some careless play in the Atlético Sendero defense, Alonso Arbildo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abner Fantinatti. The Atlético Sendero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abner Fantinatti should have stopped the shot. Alonso Arbildo scored 4-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abner Fantinatti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Camilo Gana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camilo Gana's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The supporters of Atlético Sendero booed when Vicuna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Nolibuat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, Vicuna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Rogers to maneuver through the defense. Atlético Sendero's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 79th minute of the game, when Xamín Malaree after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Vicuna FC's goal. Xamín Malaree was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosalio Guardas got free with Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rosalio Guardass short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Celestino Nolibuat kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Rosalio Guardas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute Theobald Anabalon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abner Fantinatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Camilo Gana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vicuna FC's zone, Camilo Gana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Ignacio Peluchonneau came out of the goal and Camilo Gana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
