In the 13th minute Godofredo Torrijo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Vilu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Algarrobo FC's Carlos Orostegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruyman Waiben in the 16th minute of play. Luis Angel Hacke kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Juan Carlos Vilu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Torrijo in the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Algarrobo FC booed when Con Tu Hermana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Ahrens didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvar Bout during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Giancarlo Otava missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 45 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Carlos Orostegui right hand side. Algarrobo FC's Carlos Orostegui proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Algarrobo FC from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Joel Languard got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jose Esteban Peña charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Esteban Peña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Con Tu Hermana FC! Godofredo Torrijo struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Juan Carlos Vilu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Algarrobo FC. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Algarrobo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
