The referee gave Efraín Olea a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 35 minutes into the match, Hornillos AFC's Benedicto Wickel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaitán Monzón narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chena FC's Gaitán Monzón proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Chena FC from getting a goal against them.
