In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hornillos AFC's goalkeeper Baudelio Rufo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abdul Zamora's late challenge caught a Queler AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdul Zamora helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hornillos AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Abdul Zamora hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domenico Pirola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laurín Urquijo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Baudelio Rufo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurín Urquijo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baudelio Rufo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Firmín Abello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Portales having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Palau in the 69th minute of play forced Queler AFC's goalkeeper Mateo Portales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Queler AFC's Laurín Urquijo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Hornillos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Pirola came free, but Baudelio Rufo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Leovigildo Garretón dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mateo Portales, 0-1. The supporters of Hornillos AFC booed when Queler AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Huechun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Firmín Abello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Portales read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The Queler AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hornillos AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Hornillos AFC.
