Cresenciano Quiero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Painecura, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Cresenciano Quiero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Painecura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Pataguillas AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Elías Duval hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hualaihue FC's zone, Horacio Jesus Borda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Villagrán came out of the goal and Horacio Jesus Borda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlín Berganza hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Horacio Jesus Borda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Horacio Jesus Borda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute, Pataguillas AFC's Mohamed Friz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lorenzo Villagrán. Lorenzo Villagrán yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Cresenciano Quiero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Daroch in the 34th minute of the match. Lorenzo Villagrán didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horacio Jesus Borda went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Arnoldo Painecura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cresenciano Quiero having to interfere. Luis Daroch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cresenciano Quiero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mohamed Friz to strike the kick off in the second half. Horacio Jesus Borda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Daroch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cresenciano Quiero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Arnoldo Painecura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cresenciano Quiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pataguillas AFC's Cresenciano Quiero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Painecura in the 83rd minute of play.
