Tomasino Zubicueta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavián Von Bischhoffshausen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ysmael Vlahovic in the 16th minute of play forced Colo-colo's goalkeeper Natanael Brown to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raúl Cañas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Antillanca FC! Abraham Bascur walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Lolo Vivero kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Raúl Cañas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xavián Von Bischhoffshausen. Antillanca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raúl Cañas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 32nd match minute, Antillanca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ysmael Vlahovic to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Colo-colo booed when Antillanca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Desmadryl didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomasino Zubicueta couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raúl Cañas to strike the kick off in the second half. If Raúl Cañas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Manuel Diez hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute Abraham Bascur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavián Von Bischhoffshausen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xavián Von Bischhoffshausen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Colo-colo fully deserved thier win.
