After 2 played minutes Vaqueria AFC got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Labbé. Raúl Cañas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdón Moroni having to interfere. Raúl Cañas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Abraham Bascur kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abdón Moroni. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Cañas in the 14th minute of play forced Vaqueria AFC's goalkeeper Abdón Moroni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Javier Frontaura charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Javier Frontaura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, one of Vaqueria AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vaqueria AFC. Abdón Moroni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Bascur, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A throw-in in the 21st minute of the game was made by Narciso Respaldiza with Urtsín Fariña as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 22 minutes in the game Narciso Respaldiza did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Urtsín Fariña. Raúl Cañas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdón Moroni having to make a save. 29 minutes in the game, Raúl Cañas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Abdón Moroni having to interfere. Tomasino Zubicueta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Abdón Moroni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vaqueria AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Pacífico Pagueguy hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vaqueria AFC's zone, Vasco Masson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdón Moroni came out of the goal and Vasco Masson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Bascur in the 37th minute of play forced Vaqueria AFC's goalkeeper Abdón Moroni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Basilio Labbé was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vaqueria AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colo-colo the free kick. In the 38th minute, Basilio Labbé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Colo-colo's Raúl Cañas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdón Moroni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joaquin Pratt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pol Paez made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Rubén Sazie however managed to control. In the 47th match minute, Colo-colo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Masson to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raúl Cañas was the one to do the kick off. Colo-colo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Pacífico Pagueguy scored to the left of an out of position Natanael Brown, making the score, 2-1. Abraham Bascur struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Abdón Moroni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colo-colo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasino Zubicueta in the 60th minute of play forced Vaqueria AFC's goalkeeper Abdón Moroni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Vaqueria AFC defense, Raúl Cañas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdón Moroni. The Vaqueria AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdón Moroni should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Colo-colo's Tomasino Zubicueta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdón Moroni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdón Moroni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Cañas in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Raúl Cañas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colo-colo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raúl Cañas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Bascur in the 76th minute of play forced Vaqueria AFC's goalkeeper Abdón Moroni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdón Moroni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Cañas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Cañas in the 80th minute of play forced Vaqueria AFC's goalkeeper Abdón Moroni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javiero Manzano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Raúl Cañas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdón Moroni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Colo-colo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
