Spectators: 6705 (Terracing: 5005, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Calixto Urmeneta started the match with the kick off. Lucas Neil hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After 5 played minutes CD Palestino got a freekick which was hit by Juanjo Quilapan. Gualberto Tiñoli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When CD Palestino's Calixto Urmeneta in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guatin FC's goalie prevented a goal. Valentín Major made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calixto Urmeneta in the 12th minute of play. Gualberto Tiñoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Valentín Major tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lucas Neil fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Palestino's protests and gave Lucas Neil a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes CD Palestino got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Neil. After recieving a nice pass, Guatin FC's Pablo Rober tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Gualberto Tiñoli came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the CD Palestino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualberto Tiñoli couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Gualberto Tiñoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 30 played minutes Guatin FC got a freekick which was hit by Jose Ramon Alzaga. After 34 minutes of play, CD Palestino's Calixto Urmeneta made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentín Major was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gualberto Tiñoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentín Major made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calixto Urmeneta in the 44th minute of play. After 46 played minutes CD Palestino got a freekick which was hit by Amato Jarabran. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tito Balut was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Calixto Urmeneta put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Valentín Major. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tito Balut during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Guatin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tito Balut to maneuver through the defense. César Fabri charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Calixto Urmeneta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentín Major read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Guatin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Calixto Urmeneta came free, but Valentín Major reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guatin FC's Valentín Major played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calixto Urmeneta in the 69th minute of play. Valentín Major showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calixto Urmeneta in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tito Balut in the 73rd minute of play forced CD Palestino's goalkeeper Regino Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Gualberto Tiñoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Palestino's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualberto Tiñoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentín Major breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Calixto Urmeneta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentín Major was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tito Balut in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Regino Madureira saved CD Palestino from getting behind. In the 82nd match minute, CD Palestino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milián Alert to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute of the match Pablo Rober sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Regino Madureira skillfully saved the ball. If César Fabri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th match minute, Guatin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Ramon Alzaga to maneuver through the defense. Gualberto Tiñoli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Valentín Major when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Valentín Major took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calixto Urmeneta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guatin FC's Valentín Major played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Neil in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in CD Palestino's zone, Eber Azagra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Regino Madureira came out of the goal and Eber Azagra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
