But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Arestizabal couldn't finish the play. Ezequiel Ripamonti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Regino Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Juan Pedro Maggiora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quile FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Pedro Maggiora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Regino Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Regino Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Pedro Maggiora, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Quile FC's goal looked a bit too open when Calixto Urmeneta came free, but Bernardino Gramusset reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calixto Urmeneta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bernardino Gramusset tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Calixto Urmeneta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Arestizabal's late challenge caught a Quile FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severiano Arestizabal helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes CD Palestino got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Arestizabal. With a little luck, Quile FC's Bernardino Gramusset got control of the ball when Gualberto Tiñoli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Regino Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Pedro Maggiora in the 34th minute of the match. If Calixto Urmeneta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Calixto Urmeneta to strike the kick off in the second half. Juan Pedro Maggiora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Regino Madureira having to interfere. Ezequiel Ripamonti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Regino Madureira having to make a save. Juan Pedro Maggiora might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Regino Madureira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Pedro Maggiora ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Juan Pedro Maggiora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Regino Madureira was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After 72 played minutes Quile FC got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Della. Quile FC's Bernardino Gramusset played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amato Jarabran in the 73rd minute of play. Gualberto Tiñoli scored 2-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardino Gramusset, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernardino Gramusset took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualberto Tiñoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Quile FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Juan Pedro Maggiora hit a great ball. Regino Madureira came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Quile FC's Ezequiel Ripamonti. But to his dismay, Ezequiel Ripamonti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CD Palestino had won after a very even match.
