Palpaico's supporters rose to their feet, but Inacio Gadano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Dahlgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Casimiro Castañeda got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eduardo Poveda. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Teofilio Ascuí managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palpaico's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofilio Ascuí was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Paltorp couldn't finish the play. Curimon's Remigio Dahlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilio Ascuí in the 89th minute of play. If Eduardo Poveda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Teofilio Ascuí managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palpaico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilio Ascuí was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Franco Butto put in a rough tackle.
