An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelius Mackenzie in the 34th minute of play forced Municipal Ovalle's goalkeeper Alessandro Urizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Martin Artaza fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alessandro Urizar, passed just outside the right post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelius Mackenzie to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Aurelius Mackenzie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alessandro Urizar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guanta AFC's Aurelius Mackenzie got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessandro Urizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelius Mackenzie, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Ambrosio Neculñir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Martin Artaza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guanta AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Lucio Riera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Joel Abarzua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Aurelius Mackenzie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Artaza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Urizar having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Jimeno Granic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Guanta AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Municipal Ovalle had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
