In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Janikoquai FC's goalkeeper Gualberto Lucero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When José Javier Gana came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Barrancas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Javier Gana couldn't finish the play. In the 11th match minute, Janikoquai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Selmo Quezada to maneuver through the defense. Lex Mertens struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Agustín Traverso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Janikoquai FC. With a little luck, Barrancas AFC's Agustín Traverso got control of the ball when Amadeo Fresno tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 17 minutes, Martin Bessoayn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrancas AFC and the Janikoquai FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Barrancas AFC's Martin Bessoayn got a free kick in the 17th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Amadeo Fresno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Janikoquai FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Fresno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Janikoquai FC fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Janikoquai FC's Anacleto Perez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If José Javier Gana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Barrancas AFC's Elías Guesalaga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gualberto Lucero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 28 minutes into the match, Amadeo Fresno notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Barrancas AFC's Agustín Traverso. Agustín Traverso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Agustín Traverso had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Anacleto Perez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 33rd minute, Anacleto Perez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agustín Traverso was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Barrancas AFC's Agustín Traverso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milián Turull in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anacleto Perez in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agustín Traverso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If José Javier Gana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Bessoayn in the 47th minute of play forced Janikoquai FC's goalkeeper Gualberto Lucero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

In the 52nd minute, Amadeo Fresno made a precise shot to the right of Agustín Traverso. Barrancas AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 57 minutes into the game, Anacleto Perez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Agustín Traverso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barrancas AFC's Agustín Traverso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milián Turull in the 60th minute of play. Janikoquai FC's Gualberto Lucero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Janikoquai FC from getting a goal against them. After 62 played minutes Janikoquai FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Reinaga. José Javier Gana kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Amadeo Fresno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agustín Traverso was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. After a rather tough play, Barrancas AFC's José Javier Gana got a free kick in the 81st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurino Moyano during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes Janikoquai FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurino Moyano. Janikoquai FC's Anacleto Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
